The Role
CENTRIC is presenting an exhilarating opportunity for a researcher to join our multidisciplinary team, focusing on the ethical and accountable deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) in policing. The appointed researcher will engage in a spectrum of CENTRIC projects, including AIPAS, AP4AI, and STARLIGHT, performing both qualitative and quantitative research on the responsible use of AI in law enforcement. This role demands adaptability and a willingness to expand expertise across various security domains. Additional knowledge in areas such as digital criminal investigations, legal frameworks, ethics, and data protection will be highly advantageous.
As a researcher within CENTRIC, you will be integrated into a highly motivated, interdisciplinary team, significantly contributing to the success of CENTRIC’s projects. The role offers exceptional opportunities to cultivate applied research proficiency in a broad array of security-related fields. You will forge strong connections with universities, law enforcement agencies, and industry, with opportunities for international collaboration and travel to engage with CENTRIC’s global partners.
