The Rhodes Trust Scholarship is a fully funded program that provides recipients with a living stipend of £18,180 annually while they study in the UK, in addition to complete tuition waiver. - Nationality/Citizenship: If you are not qualified to apply through any current Rhodes constituency, you may only apply for the Rhode Scholarships. You should also think about inter-jurisdictional consideration rather than the Global Scholarship if you have a strong connection to one or more Rhodes constituencies but do not match their qualifying requirements.
- Age: You have to fit one of the requirements listed below:
- On October 1, 2024, you must be between the ages of 18 and 24 (that is, you must have been born after October 1, 1998, and before October 2, 2005). OR for students studying medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, law, and engineering, so they can finish their professional internship.
- You must have been born after October 1, 1997, and before October 2, 2005, i.e., you must be between the ages of 18 and 25 on October 1, 2024. OR for applicants who are older and have obtained their undergraduate degree later than typical.
- You must have been born after October 1, 1996, and be under 27 on October 1, 2024. You must also have earned your first undergraduate degree on or before October 1, 2023.
- Academic achievement: A bachelor’s degree or above is required since your undergraduate degree must already be finished.
- Candidates who possess a First Class Honors Degree or its equivalent will have a higher chance of being admitted to Oxford, given the highly competitive international competition for spots at the university.
- English language competence: To meet the University of Oxford’s standards for English language proficiency (at the higher level specified), you must possess a high enough level of the language.
- If English is your first language and you are a citizen of a nation where the predominant language is spoken, you are exempt from the English language requirement.
